Dear Parent,

We understand there would be a lot of queries regarding the summer holidays. The last working day  for Grade I to XII students will be on 22nd June 2017 (Thursday).

Parents are advised to make sure that all dues with regards to school fees                 (re-registration, transport & tuition fees till June) are cleared on or before        10th June 2017. Please contact the Accounts Department to obtain information regarding your wards accounts.

For those parents who have not yet done the online signing of contract, please make sure to do it on or before 15th June 2017. Failure to sign the contract  on time would delay your ward’s registration and would result in the parent paying fine as per KHDA protocols.

The Holiday Homework for Grade I to VIII and Practice Works & Innovation Projects for Grade IX to XII will be uploaded and available on ELG (Elite Learning Gateway) and on the Elite English School website.  Holiday homework submission will be on Thursday, 14th September 2017.

The school will reopen for Grade I to XII students on 6th Sept 2017 (Wed).

Office Timing During Summer Break:

29th June 2017 onwards                          9AM to 1PM    Sunday to Thursday
We wish our students and parents a happy & safe Summer 2017.

The Charity Drive will be in operation from Tuesday, 23rd May – Sunday, 28th May 2017.

CIR/EES/MAY/1621-17                                                       Date: May 22, 2017

Dear Parent,

According to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, ‘Giving’ is defined by the differences we make: the differences in someone’s life, in a society or in a nation. Sheikh Zayed’s legacy is not measured in the generous donations he made to the less fortunate only, but in the impact he has had in our lives and our country forever. This is our goal for the Year of Giving – to make a difference in the lives of those we care for and in ourselves.

The spirit of Ramadan lies in the  wonderful acts of generosity, kindness, tolerance, charity and whenever possible, to partake in them and spread the very spirit that makes this beautiful occasion what it is.

The Elite English School will run a Ramadan Charity Drive and collect the following items to be distributed in labour camps: rice, pulses, sugar, tea,   milk powder and cooking oil. The Charity Drive will be in operation from Tuesday, 23rd May – Sunday,  28th May 2017.

This initiative depends on the willingness and generosity of the school community to come forward to help with this endeavor. In order to ensure that everyone gets a fair chance, kindly follow the bifurcation and positively allow yourself and your ward to participate for a good cause. Items brought will be collected by teachers everyday.

Class Items
KG I 1 packet Dates (sealed airtight)
KG II 2 kgs Sugar
Grade I 2 kgs Pulses
Grade II 2 kgs Rice
Grade III 2 liters Cooking Oil
Grade IV 1 box (100 bags) Tea
Grade V 2 packets Dates (sealed airtight)
Grade VI 2 kgs Sugar
Grade VII 2 kgs Pulses
Grade VIII 2 kgs Rice
Grade IX 2 liters Cooking Oil
Grade X 2 kgs Rice
Grade XI & XII 1 kg Milk Powder
Resource Room (RR) Single piece Bedsheet & Pillowcase

Apart from the above mentioned initiative, we also wish to underscore an issue of importance. As we are all aware of the fluctuating job situation and its consequences on the life of those affected, especially in arranging money to pay the fees (higher grades), we would like to draw your attention to the following drive:

-If any parent wishes to contribute towards the fee payment of any specific student, he/she is most welcome. For this you are requested to send a mail to principal@eliteenglishschool.com. Please note this contribution will be treated highly confidentially.

As always we thank our  students and parents who support and stand by such wonderful causes, and once again we solicit your  maximum cooperation .

Best Regards,

* RAMADAN KAREEM * The Holy Month of Ramadan will begin from 27th May 2017 (please refer to media for confirmation).

CIR/EES/MAY/1620-17                                                          Date: May 21, 2017

Dear Parent,

* RAMADAN KAREEM *

The Holy Month of Ramadan will begin from 27th May 2017 (please refer to media for confirmation). This is the month which teaches us the importance of leading a virtuous life. It also teaches us to look after others and not to be self -centered. The importance of disciplining ourselves mentally as well as physically is highlighted during this Holy month. Today’s generation also needs to learn the importance of sharing. Now is the time to inculcate the noble qualities of discipline, hard work and charity in our children. The fast pace of life and the race for materialistic possessions leaves us with precious little time to devote towards the imbibing of these desirable qualities. These qualities are the fulcrum around which human life revolves. Our children need to learn about them as well as imbibe them. The Holy Month of Ramadan is the apt time to introduce our young ones to these noble virtues and the school is the right place for it. But we need your support in this noble endeavour. Please counsel your child as and when required about the importance of leading a disciplined life and putting in sincere hard work in their studies. The virtue of charity can be taught to them by example. Let us take this opportunity and put in our best for the betterment of our children.

With the commencement of the Holy Month of Ramadan,  school will follow the revised timings with effect from Sunday, 28th  May 2017:-

KG I                                                  –        10:00 AM to 12:45 PM

KG II                                                –          8:00 AM to 10:45 AM

Grade I to XII                                  –          8:00 AM to   1:00 PM

Please make arrangements to collect your child. Ensure your child comes to school regularly. Attendance is compulsory for promotion. Please expect a little delay in drop off time due to the heavy traffic. We regret any inconvenience it may cause.

School Transport morning pick up time will remain the same.

Own transport children after school pick-up time:

KG1                                                  –            1:00PM

KGII                                                 –          11:00AM

GRI to XII                                        –            1:15PM

*** PLEASE NOTE, RR (RESOURCE ROOM) STUDENTS WILL ALSO FOLLOW THE ABOVE MENTIONED SCHEDULE.

School gate will be closed at exactly 2:00PM. Own Transport parents are requested to be on time in picking up their children.

Academic Support after school hours will continue until 3:00PM. Sports activities  will not be held during Ramadan.

Your co-operation is highly solicited and always appreciated.

Best Regards,

PRINCIPAL
